About Armchair	English (USA)
The Magical Armchair is an e-mail list for discussion of Ben Folds and his musical projects. In service since 1995, the Magical Armchair is the oldest Folds fan forum. List members are encouraged to post items of interest to other subscribers, including concert experiences, music reviews, questions and answers or anything else related to Ben Folds and his music. In addition to listmember posts, we'll also post news about Ben Folds and announcements of new items on the Magical Armchair website (www.magicalarmchair.com). If you wish to receive only these news items, you can subscribe to the Armchair-News list. Please use appropriate discretion when posting. Posts or threads that are deemed inappropriate or offensive by the moderator may be removed and the listmember banned from posting. Because this list is intended for discussion, any attachments in messages posted by listmembers will be stripped. Of course, posting to this list is not a way to contact Ben. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Armchair Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
Using Armchair
To post a message to all the list members, send email to armchair@lists.magicalarmchair.com. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Armchair
Subscribe to Armchair by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
